National Art Honor Society

Our National Art Honor Society is an awesome group of advanced art students who are an active part of our fine art department through the Street Painting Festival, murals, shows, contests, the calendar, and other service projects. While it´s too late to join this year, prospective members are encouraged to continue taking art classes and apply March 2008 for the 2008/2009 school year. 

Upcoming Dates for NAHS
We meet the first Tuesday of each month in room 405.  More dates will be posted by the beginning of the school year.  All current members need to join the yahoogroups for reminders, online polls, etc. 

10/16- DA CFLC Field Trip to the print shop to proof the calendar.  Field trip form due 10/12.
10/23- Portfolio prep for Governor´s School nominees, seniors, or anyone else interested.  You may want to look at Mrs. Aker´s portfolio page or mine in advance of coming.
10/25: (optional) Decorate Spirit Halls for Homecoming.  See each class advisor or officers for details.
11/6- NAHS meeting mandatory ALL members.  Preorders for the calendar are due.  Download another preorder form here or from the yahoogroups if you need another. 
11/7: Governor´s School auditions at Ligon.
12/4- NAHS meeting mandatory ALL members. We should be getting calendars to pass out.  You also must register online for Scholastics and sign up at this NAHS if you want your one free piece to be entered.  NAHS will pay $5 but we must request the check in advance.
12/18- Scholastics Deadline.
1/8: NAHS Meeting mandatory for all members.
