The 180 Photo Committee plans to use this web-page to proof images for the photo contest to avoid having to e-mail many large files.  When all images have been approved, we will revise this web-page to serve as an online exhibit of the artwork on display at Triangle Towne Center and possibly promote future leadership photography contests.  For now, this web-page is published but not linked to any other page to keep the process private.

Proofing the Winning Entries on the Left
Please proof the images on the left by clicking on the thumb-nail for a larger image.  We edited almost every single image in PhotoShop with the permission of the photographer so even the entries that were approved during judging have been uploaded.  Unfortunately, the label information is not included.  We have spent hours already revising each label for grammar, clarity, and alignment with our magnet recruitment `image.´  If you have a question about how a specific image shows leadership, please refer to that image and I´ll e-mail you the latest draft of their label.  Let us know if any image doesn´t make the thumb-nail and please remember many of the 9th and 10th graders working on this committee have not had any PhotoShop or web-editing experience. Also remember that the original PSD images are high res and HUGE so these smaller web-friendly images will appear pixelly in comparision.

Proofing the Layout for Each Framed Image
We also want to use this page to also allow you all to proof the graphic work for the exhibition.  I´ve included a draft of the title image and the description image to make sure everyone approves the overall design of the graphics.  We´ve also included an example of the finished photo layout including the blue background, bulldog logo, and label information.  Because the process of entering information is intense and time-consuming for an already busy team of students, I need feedback on this no later that Friday 5/1 to allow us time to enter images and info. The description image is void of text to allow us to proof that separately below.  Please e-mail feedback to Mrs. Harrell at
mharrell@wcpss.net.

Questions

  • Did we decide if we could do 29 or 30 photos?  We prefer the DIllard hallway but we´re open to either.  My 180 team member felt that either location would be good though the Dillard seemed to have more traffic.
  • Can we list approximate dates of the exhibition as June through December?
  • What format does the print shop want these images?  I´m working in PhotoShop psd format right now but can convert to pdf if that is preferred.
